Ingredients:

  1. 250 grams fresh amla (Indian gooseberries)
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 2 teaspoons sugar powder

Instructions:

  1. Boil Amla:

    • Boil water in a pot and add fresh amla.
    • Boil the amla for 10 minutes until they bloom.
    • Remove the amla from the boiling water and let them cool.
  2. Remove Seeds:

    • Once the amla is cool, separate the seeds from the amla.
  3. Sugar Soaking:

    • Place the seedless amla in a jar or container.
    • Add 1 cup of sugar to the amla.
    • Leave it for 2 days, allowing the amla to release water.
  4. Filter and Dry:

    • After 2 days, filter the amla from the released water using a strainer or filter.
    • Place the filtered amla pieces in direct sunlight to dry.
  5. Sugar Powder Addition:

    • Once the amla pieces are dry, add 2 teaspoons of sugar powder to them.
  6. Mix and Finalize:

    • Mix the sugar powder thoroughly with the dried amla pieces.
  7. Candy Formation:

    • Your amla candy is now ready to be enjoyed.
