Continuing this series, today we are going to share the recipe for Shahi Paneer with you. The Shahi Paneer (also known as shahi tukda), we are making today will be prepared in restaurant style. So, without further delay, let's get started!

Ingredients:

  • 300g paneer (cheese), diced
  • 1 tablespoon refined oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp pure ghee
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi powder
  • Fresh coriander leaves and cream for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat refined oil in a pan in a medium flame, then add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom, and cinnamon one by one. Sauté the spices for a few minutes.
  2. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are slightly soft. Add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and cashew nuts one by one into the pan. Switch off the stove.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a grinder and make a paste for a thick gravy.
  4. In another pan, heat pure ghee. Add the prepared gravy and cook in a medium flame to avoid any burning.
  5. Add curd, kasuri methi powder, and diced paneer. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Open the lid to check, then let it simmer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and cream.
