Shahi Paneer Recipe

Shahi Paneer

Ingredients:

  • 300g paneer (cheese), diced
  • 1 tablespoon Refined oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 10 cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp pure ghee
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi powder
  • Fresh coriander leaves and cream for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat refined oil in a pan, add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom, and cinnamon. Sauté the spices.
  2. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are slightly soft. Add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and cashew nuts. Switch off the stove.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a grinder and make a paste for a thick gravy.
  4. In another pan, heat pure ghee. Add the prepared gravy and cook over a medium flame.
  5. Add curd, kasuri methi powder, and diced paneer. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Open the lid to check, then let it simmer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and cream.
