Mathris Recipe

Prepare Dough:
- In a mixing bowl or parat, take all-purpose flour.
- Add carom seeds, salt to taste, 4 tablespoons of refined oil, and a pinch of baking powder.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Gradually add water to make a dough with a consistency similar to puri dough.Now, leave your dough covered for the next 10 minutes.

Shape and Cut:
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Roll each ball into a flat disc.
- Using a knife, cut the flattened dough into desired shapes (traditionally diamond-shaped).

Fry:
- Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the shaped dough pieces into the oil.
- Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy completely.
- Remove the fried mathris using a slotted spoon and place them on absorbent paper to drain excess oil.

Season:
- Optionally, sprinkle chaat masala over the fried mathris for added flavor and spiciness.

Serve:
- Mathris are ready to be served.
- Enjoy them during tea time, breakfast, or whenever you crave a light and crispy snack.
