The method we will be using to make this recipe is quite simple. So let's start making delicious Masala Soya Chunks without any delay!

  1. Boil the soya chunks in a saucepan with one glass of water. Once boiled, strain out the hot water and let the soya chunks cool down. Remove excess water.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a deep kadhai or pan. Add cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, black cardamom, and black peppercorns. Let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until transparent. Then, add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Stir continuously until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Let the masala cool down, then transfer it to a blender and grind into a smooth paste.
  6. In the same pan, heat the remaining oil and add the boiled soya chunks. Dry them completely over low flame.
  7. Once dry, set aside the soya chunks on a plate.
  8. Add the prepared ground masala to the pan. Stir for a few minutes.
  9. Add the soya chunks to the masala and mix well until completely coated. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5 minutes over low flame.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  11. Serve masala soya chunks with puri, paratha or chapati.
